We only live once; make it or break it. That sounds harsh.
It's not that I am living in denial and denying that life is harsh. It's simply that, well, it's way too harsh to put life this way. Let's rephrase:
Do things so that you won't regret NOT doing it. Often times, we retract from doing certain things, because we are afraid. The fear of embarrassment, the fear of rejection, the fear of so many psychological factors that we impose upon ourselves... Now, try to remove those pyschological factors, and see things for what they really are.The fact is, you want to do it, but are restricted (by yourself). Then, after the specific timeframe for action (or inaction) has passed, you look back and regret.
Many times, people tell me not to do things you will regret in life. I tell you, not to NOT do things and regret later in life. The difference is subtle, but the impact is great. Both ways, what I am saying here is: in life, we do not need to make it or break it, but most importantly is to make sure regrets are not a part of it. Inevitable as they may seem, reduce it by doing what you CAN do, and not stop yourself from doing it because of your fears.
On this note, please do not go and commit muder and arson just because you do not want to regret not killing anyone in your lifetime. When I mean, do not regret, I simply refer to everyday things, like maybe confessing your love much as it requires a whole lot of courage. Or bigger things, but no way do I refer to illegal acts. Please evaluate for yourself or with your friends whether or not to do this thing you wish to do.
Thank you for listening. :)
